About Me
Who am I?
My name is Phil McDonald and I'm a Mastering Engineer and music studio owner based in Jersey. I've been in and around music studios for most of my life having played in numerous bands and groups, and recorded and produced a great many artists over the years.
What can I do for you?
In the first instance, I want to help. I know how frustrating it can be trying to break through in the music business, and it's often a minefield trying to find good advice from an experienced professional. My aim is to help you achieve your goals by establishing a great relationship with you to make your music the best it possibly can be. Whereas online mastering services simply work to an algorithm and boost the loudness of your record, I take the time to listen and to understand your music in order to give you the best possible sounding record. I specialise in Mastering for Streaming, making your songs sound fantastic on all platforms.
What is the point of mastering?
I'll happily advise and suggest any mix changes that might be necessary and I'll make any revisions to your final master that you require. The end goal is for you to put your music out into the world, happy that it sounds better than you ever thought possible.
